Cultivating Faith, Trust, & Confidence Non-Residential Meditation Retreat
Sadha, the Pali word for faith, is “an attitude of trust and commitment leading to the possibility of liberation.” —Bhikku Bodhi
When: December 10–11, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm
As the days shorten, the sun moves lower in the sky, the Winter Equinox with the arrival of the new year and religious festivals come close, the tendency of all beings is to go inward. Some hibernate, others find shelter to keep warm, and people from time immemorial practice inner contemplation and personal reflection. Inquiring into the deeper meaning of our lives, we discover meditations and practices that strengthen our capacity for faith, trust, and confidence to arise.
During this 2-day retreat, we will explore, define, and discuss levels of faith and ways of bringing these beneficial, qualitative energies into our lives. The retreat will be held in noble silence and consist of both guided and silent periods of sitting, walking meditation, and Q&A. The retreat will be about 60% meditation and 40% teaching and discussion.
