Five Tuesdays, August 9 – September 6, 2016

“The more and more you listen, the more and more you will hear. The more you hear, the more and more deeply will you understand.”

Learning to listen and speak wisely can be a healing balm to us and our world. Mindful communication can be one of the most complex and challenging activities and touches every aspect of our lives: with family and friends, neighbors and co-workers, those people known and un-known and to those people we casually pass on the street to the cashier at the grocery store.

In these classes, we will cultivate learning to speak and listen with presence and caring; pausing to be present and not distracted; practicing patience to understand, exercise empathy and compassion to form connection. There will be meditation, Dharma talks, interactive exercises and contemplative inquiry, discussion and Q&A.

When: Tuesdays, 6:30–8:30 pm, August 9 – September 6, 2016

Fee: $40 for all 5 weeks (dropin, $7 per class) plus Dana or generosity for the teacher. Please support Lhasha in continuing to offer these 2,600-year-old teachings. Give generously what you can. No one will be turned away due to inability to pay.
